Mountain Bike the Ka'a'awa Valley

Take a guided mountain bike tour through the 1000 acre Ka'a'awa Valley on Oahu's northeast shore. Dirt roads and single tracks meander throughout this lush stream filled valley.

We'll stop at a reconstructed Hawaiian hale (house) and kalo lo'i (taro terrace) for some cultural narrative and make a quick stop in a old military bunker that has been converted into a movie museum for films shot within this historical valley (ie: Jurassic Park, Godzilla, Mighty Joe Young, Windtalkers and more). Scenic ocean views and sheer valley walls provide a stunning backdrop to this epic valley ride.

To make the ride a little smoother, guests can upgrade to a full suspension Kona mountain bike for an additional $30.

Guests must be at least 4 feet tall to ride Bike Hawaii's Bikes.

The Ka'a'awa Valley is the same ride location for the Hawaiian Mountain Tour Pro/Am 1997/98 where 30 countries competed. It's also the same site used for the annual 24 Hours of Hell Mountain Bike Race.

This tour includes a light deli-style lunch. When booking this tour, please be sure to provide each guest's preferred lunch option: Turkey, Roast Beef, Ham or Vegetarian.

This tour must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12- 24 hours subject to availability.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour are charged 50%. Cancellations prior to 24 hours are charged a minimum $10.00 per person administration fee. NP SHOWS on tour dates are charged 100%. Some specific tours and activities have a higher cancellation fee due to the limited space available.

Recommended for all tours with Bike Hawaii: Wear comfortable shoes and socks. Bring an extra pair of tall socks for added comfort when wearing Bike Hawaii's provided rubber boots for crossing streams. Also suggested: an extra layer of warm clothing, hats, visors, sunglasses and a camera.

Weather: Tour route or activity may be changed depending on local weather conditions.
