From a French dip sandwich with a Vietnamese spin to award-winning pizza, taste some of the best bites that Hawaii’s capital has to offer on a food tour of Honolulu’s Chinatown. During the 2.5-hour walking tour, expect to walk about 1.5 miles (2 km) at a leisurely pace with plenty of stops for tastings and discussion. Visit upwards of four establishments where you'll get to sample enough food to make up a meal. Your informative foodie guide explains both the culinary traditions of Honolulu’s Chinatown and historic events that have shaped the neighborhood.

Meet your guide at one of Honolulu’s most celebrated new restaurants, the Pig and the Lady, opened by a young Vietnamese chef who was born and raised in Honolulu. Hear the story of the family-run restaurant as you slurp delectable smoked bacon pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) and plunk a French dip sandwich into their signature pho au jus.

During the 2.5-hour stroll, your guide shares facts about Honolulu's Chinatown, one of the oldest in the United States. Stop into local eateries to sample an award-winning pizza topped with Hawaiian flavors followed by a tasting of garlic chicken and Thai fried chicken with a sweet-and-sour sauce. Try a Korean twist on a Hawaiian favorite loco moco, a dish where white rice is usually topped with hamburger patty, fried egg and gravy. Then finish off with one of the most decadent cheesecakes to be found on Oahu.

After a delectable array of tastings, your tour ends in Chinatown where you can explore further on your own or make your way to your next destination.

Go bar hopping in Honolulu on a 15-passenger party bike while a knowledgeable guide takes the helm. During this 2.5-hour tour, you'll pedal the bike through the Kaka’ako district, an up-and-coming hotspot of Honolulu. Stop to purchase drinks and appetizers at three hip venues such as Honolulu Beerworks, Hibiscus Club and the Brewseum.

Then it’s time for some exercise in the fresh ocean air as you board your party bike, an eco-friendly shared vehicle with 15 inward-facing seats. Chat with your small group as you pedal together (or not; there are five seats that do not require pedaling) while your informative guide steers you to your next destination.
You'll stop at three popular bars and brewpubs in Kaka’ako, where you may purchase food and drinks. Perhaps order a handcrafted cocktail paired with tapas at Bevy, a neighborhood bar that uses sustainable, handmade decor for a vintage-meets-industrial feel. At REAL, a gastropub, you’ll find dozens of new-release beers plus craft-beer cocktails such as a cervezarita, which combines tequila and draft IPA. Learn about World War II history and beer at the Brewseum, which boasts six draft beers on tap and provides complimentary popcorn with your food purchase, or enjoy Korean tacos and karaoke at the lively Cafe Duck Butt.
After 2.5 hours, return to your starting point to end your tour. If you wish, keep the party going on your own with your newfound friends.
Stops include three of the following:

  • REAL, a gastropub
  • Cafe Duck Butt
  • Honolulu Beerworks
